Ressource rich, good thrall farm and you can get anywhere on foor relatively fast from there. The southernmost river eventually comes to a large lake. At the north side of the lake is a waterfall. At the top of this waterfall is a beautiful place to build a base. Up the hill to the west is a gigantic field of iron. North of that is guerrillas for heavy leather and fur. The lake itself is full of brimstone stalagmites. Build in the southeast edge of the undead mounds. There's great access to stone, iron, wood, and high tier thralls, and the all important obelisk is very close. There's water for fishing, and bark and plant matter in decent quality for small scale work. No brimstone at all, but that's where being right next door to the obelisk comes in.
