Heme onc lifestyle

I have a couple of questions. I am aware that there are probably fantastic threads describing the practice/daily life of a heme/onc doc, primarily from a medical standpoint (is it more inpatient/outpatient, what is practice like, etc) Also, I am interested in lifestyle of a heme/onc doc. I have searched the threads and found some good reads.

Single board programs are 12+12 but some will tack on a 3rd year to "help you with your research" (AKA, get cheap labor out of you). Some programs are 2 full clinical years + 12 mos of research.

None of these aspects are entirely unique to heme/onc individually but the entire package is a fairly unique combo of both challenges and opportunities.
