Length: 3.6 mi • Est. 1h 52m. This is a hike through a remote part of Redwood National Park. It is about 7 miles up to the gate from 101 and about 6 miles down to the trailhead from the gate. The little extra effort is worth it. The trail runs gently down to the Redwood River through some amazing groves of huge trees.

Redwood hikes. This loop is one of the best dog-friendly hikes in Redwood City. It’s only 0.9 miles long, but its location in the park makes it the perfect doggy playground. Stulsaft Park covers 42 acres of the city and dogs are allowed to be off-leash on any trails south of the creek.
